My resolve to cut out caffeine lasted about a year, but now I’m back in the game — again.

It’s a helluva drug

New York Magazine has published an interesting piece on the differences between caffeine & it’s not-so-distant cousin, cocaine:

Cocaine and amphetamines essentially do the same thing, only they create not just a pleasant feeling but outright euphoria [...] But the higher a drug’s highs, the lower its lows, which is why a crack user needing a fix might rob an elderly neighbor at gunpoint while a coffee drinker might simply get snippy with co-workers.

People over at 9rules are discussing their favorite and least favorite Food Network personality. Some of the crowd favorites are: Alton Brown, Giada De Laurentis and Rachael Ray — except for one person who apparently absolutely despises her:

She must have some publicist, she was on FHM as one of the 100 hottest women! Maybe the 100 hottest late 30’s drunken bar hag, big-hipped, flat chested, sqaut-legged, bad tipping, stupid word-inventing, joker-smiling half wits…. maybe.

Some of the not-so-favorites: Bobby Flay and Ina Garten (aka “The Barefoot Contessa”). Ina Garten was voted down mostly for cooking dishes that the average person doesn’t have the resources to make.

That’s cause Ina Garten is ballin, son.
