Not my idea of dream food written by chris rhee on Jan 30th, 2007

Over at Yahoo! Food, they’ve posted the Top 10 Foods for a Good Night’s Sleep. The article explains why foods like bananas, warm milk, almonds, flaxseed, turkey, and potatoes will help you fall asleep.

It also includes a recipe for “Lullaby Muffins” that includes several sleep-inducing ingredients. I can only assume it’s tastier than the “Turkey & Banana Milkshake with French Fry Crust Sleep Elixir” I was going to propose.

Your favorite Food Network personality written by chris rhee on Jan 29th, 2007

People over at 9rules are discussing their favorite and least favorite Food Network personality. Some of the crowd favorites are: Alton Brown, Giada De Laurentis and Rachael Ray — except for one person who apparently absolutely despises her:

She must have some publicist, she was on FHM as one of the 100 hottest women! Maybe the 100 hottest late 30’s drunken bar hag, big-hipped, flat chested, sqaut-legged, bad tipping, stupid word-inventing, joker-smiling half wits…. maybe.

Some of the not-so-favorites: Bobby Flay and Ina Garten (aka “The Barefoot Contessa”). Ina Garten was voted down mostly for cooking dishes that the average person doesn’t have the resources to make.

That’s cause Ina Garten is ballin, son.

VIDEO: Subliminal ads on Food Network? written by chris rhee on Jan 22nd, 2007

A guy posted this video of what he believes is subliminal advertising for McDonalds on the Food Network, during an episode of American Iron Chef. In my opinion, it’s probably just a broadcasting glitch or something trivial like that and there’s no need to comb through any more Food Network shows in slow motion. (Unless you’re one of those Giada De Laurentiis fans. You know which ones I’m talking about.)
